These Cadbury Caramilk Cookie Bars are in a league of their own. Thick cookie bars, with chocolate chunks and a layer of Cadbury Caramilk. Spread half the cookie dough in the pan, add two bars of Caramilk side by side. Then you just cover with more cookie dough! These could not be easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By creating bars rather than individual cookies, you end up with far more of the fudgy centre and there is no need to chill the dough. The only drawback with these is the 30-45min wait after baking before slicing! Although, you could just top with ice cream and dive in with spoons instead. The cornflour is crucial for a solid texture, and the brown sugar gives the sticky, fudgy, rich flavours and texture.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For real perfection, you want to use melted butter and mix it fully with two types of sugars (whisked on high with\u00a0a mixer like this<\/a>). Milk chocolate chunks get mixed into the cookie dough. The Caramilk goes in the middle as full bars – no hassle at all! The recipe all comes together in one bowl. This results in minimal washing up too!
