Measure the baking soda ready to &#8216;shoot&#8217; into the mix.<\/li><li>In a medium saucepan, over a gentle heat, combine the sugar and golden syrup. Stir with a wooden spoon as it melts, then turn the heat up to a medium heat. Let the mixture come to an amber colour (about 1-2 minutes).<\/li><li>Turn the heat off. Add the baking soda in one go and stir vigorously.
