If you’re looking for an easy, 10 minute Halloween movie night recipe: this is it. The gooey marshmallows meet the creamy pumpkin layer for something so sumptuous and perfect for Fall. Make sure to use pumpkin puree, and not pie filling for this bake!

I believe S’mores sing between Summer and Fall – grilling, campfires, cozy blankets. All those good things. This is a way to bring those nostalgic end of Summer vibes to Halloween/Fall vibes in a dreamy combination. The recipe is so easy and so fun to make! Mix your ingredients in a bowl, sprinkle over chocolate chips and add some big marshmallows and that’s it!

Ingredients Needed for the Molten Pumpkin Pie S’mores Dip

Only five ingredients are needed for this bake, keeping it super simple. The spice is optional but I love adding it for extra cozy vibes. Feel free to use the marshmallows and chocolate chips that you like. White chocolate and milk chocolate would also work great!

  • Pumpkin Puree
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Full Fat Cream Cheese
  • Ground Cinnamon (or Pumpkin Spice)
  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Marshmallows

How you serve this dip is totally up to you – I serve mine with graham crackers. But you could use any cookies you like, plus some fruit like strawberries. Add alongside some Halloween themed snacks for the ultimate spooky board! Alternatively, keep it super grown up by serving with spiked apple cider for a party or date night. There is just so much you could do with this bake.

Tips for the best Molten Pumpkin Pie S’mores Dip

  • Pumpkin Filling: Make sure to use pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Spice: If you can get your hands on Pumpkin Spice, use it! If not, ground cinnamon is my go-to.
  • Filling: This is a combination of full fat cream cheese and the pumpkin puree with some sugar and spice. Whisk together really well to combine. An electric mixer is best if using block cream cheese.
  • Marshmallows: I use large white marshmallows, but use what you prefer. Just make sure they aren’t placed too close together as they expand A LOT in the oven. I sprinkle over mini marshmallows at the end to serve.
  • Serving: Once ready, this will want to be served almost immediately for that real fudgy, melted goodness. I let it sit a few minutes so you don’t burn yourself, but have the crackers and serving board ready.
  • Bake Time: This only needs 5-10 minutes in the oven, as nothing actually needs to ‘bake’. We are looking for molten chocolate, a warm pumpkin filling and golden marshmallows. Take out of the oven when the marshmallow tops go gold.

I make this Molten Pumpkin Pie S’mores Dip using a 8″ circular cake tin (just like these). If you’re looking for another fun bake to serve at movie nights, try this Cookie Dough Skillet.

Ingredients

  • 200 g Pumpkin Puree
  • 200 g Full Fat Cream Cheese
  • 50 g Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (or Pumpkin Spice)
  • 150 g Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 75 g Marshmallows (Approximate – just need enough to cover the dish)

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400f/200c. Grease an 8 inch circular cake pan or skillet.
  • In a bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, cream cheese, sugar and cinnamon (or pumpkin spice). Beat until smooth then spread in an even layer in the cake tin.
  • Scatter over chocolate chips. Then top with marshmallows – make sure there are a good amount on top, but you don't need to fully cover the filling as the marshmallows will spread A LOT in the oven – leave gaps between each.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes, keeping an eye on it and removing from the oven when the marshmallows look toasted and golden! Remove and serve immediately with graham crackers/digestive biscuits or other cookies of your choice!
