Triple Chocolate Banana Bread – taking a classic and making it richer, more decadent and infinitely more delicious. To a standard banana bread recipe, we’ve added extra chocolate, cocoa powder and walnuts to really elevate this, making it much more luxurious. This Triple Chocolate Banana Bread is a real crowd pleaser. Knock it up for any occasion – you’ll become everyone’s favourite person in no time!

This one bowl wonder is super easy, so don’t let the list of ingredients put you off! Perfect for baking beginners with few areas that can really go too wrong! Only one thing: be careful not to overmix too much as this will cause it to become dense.

For any nana bread newbies, here are some tips for a great, perfectly moist loaf:

– Bananas: The riper the better – to the point where even if they’ve gone totally black, they’ll be perfect. This is because they get sweeter over time, so the banana flavour will really shine through.
– Moisture: There are a few liquids in this. Anything you bake with cocoa powder needs a good amount of liquid to offset the dryness it creates.
– Chocolate: Use any chocolate you like, and you could definitely add more – the chocolate chunks are always the best part!
– Pretty Banana Bread: Reserve half a banana or cut into a new one to create a cute pattern like I do, for a real showstopper!
– Nuts: I use walnuts, as I think they pair incredibly well with bananas, but pecans, hazelnuts, macadamias, almonds etc will all be great!
