Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6. Line 2/3 large baking sheets.
Put the golden syrup into a small bowl and heat in the microwave for 20 seconds to loosen.
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl (flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon).
Add the syrup, butter, and sugar. Use a wooden spoon to bring together.
Scoop tbsp sized balls of the mixture, roll into a log/oval shape and lay out on the cookie trays (at least 2 inches apart). Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
